Buddhist Monk, Dr Mikao Usui.

Pronounced “Ray-Key”

Reiki is made of two Japanese words – ‘Rei’ meaning Universal Energy and ‘Ki’ Life Force. If a person’s ‘Ki’ is high and free-flowing then we are more capable of being happy and healthy. However, if it becomes low or blocked, then we are more susceptible to illnesses, depression and stress.

Reiki does not replace conventional medicine and can be safely used alongside other orthodox healthcare and natural remedies. It is widely used within the NHS and is also practiced in hospices for palliative care.

Safe and non-invasive

How Reiki is performed

Lisa uses the Usui system of natural healing and focuses on the seven major energy centers (chakras) of the body with her hands.

Treatments are approximately one hour in length and performed while you relax fully clothed on a massage table. During a treatment, the practitioner places hands on or slightly above different areas of the body. Most people report feeling a warm, tingling sensation or may even fall asleep from relaxation.

Reiki is a complementary therapy that can help in the healing process and in many cases, improve both physical and mental health. From stress management and relaxation, to helping alleviate pain in the body, Reiki energy is powerful yet gentle. Reiki should never be seen as a substitute for medical care.

Lisa works with adults, teenagers, and children to help them uncover the source of physical and emotional pain and blockages.

Using reiki and her intuitive abilities, she facilitates a holistic and individualized journey toward healing. Lisa specializes in relief from anxiety, and help coping with grief and loss. Using a combination of intuitive abilities, reiki, mindfulness techniques and meditation, she works with you to create healing in the areas you’ve targeted.

Before each session begins, Lisa sits in meditation to connect with your energy. She can feel and sense your emotions and pain in the physical body, where you might be stuck and how to overcome various obstacles in your life. Lisa helps you deepen your spiritual connection to source and increase your intuition, so you can learn how to heal yourself.

Lisa’s background includes certification as a Reiki Master Teacher and a Bachelor of Science in Health from Chico State University. In addition to her reiki practice, she is also an active hospice volunteer. Additional training and coursework include guided meditation, grief counseling, mindfulness, and training from psychic medium James Van Praagh.
